What is the Dance program?

The Dance program will prepare students for transfer to a four-year university.  Come join our program for your technical training and performance experience while gathering an appreciation for one of the world’s oldest art forms.

What will I learn?

The curriculum provides you with a comprehensive approach to learning dance by integrating the aesthetics, historical, critical, cultural, and fundamental aspects of dance as an art form in conjunction with anatomical and kinesiological knowledge for injury prevention and recovery.

What can I do with this course of study?

Dancers often combine performing with teaching or turn to teaching after their career as professional dancers are over. Choreographers create and design original dance steps and moves for dancers. They may work in a variety of types of dance such as motion picture, television, stage performances, musical shows, and the ballet. Dancers may also combine their interests in social service to become dance or movement therapists.

What's special about our program?

Our program boasts experienced professors, using innovative techniques to help you learn the art of dance.
